hi doctor, i am suffering from adrenal fatigue. I recently started taking BCAAs but started to get a slight "wired" feeling or jittery feeling which last for like an hour. Is this symptom likely to disappear after a few days of getting the body used to taking amino acids ? During adrenal afatigue does the body deplete amino acids reserves and hence when u start taking them u will get this symptom ? I remember when i was first told to start taking P5P B6 50mg i never felt so jittery in my life but then on subsequent days i never got that symptom. weird.

Monty,

I have never seen BCAA directly help or support adrenal fatigue. Why you are feeling what you are feeling could be a number of reasons. Take the time to review what is spelled out on the ARS Healthy Steps program....follow those recommendations or see how close you are following those steps. Also use the "Online Health Quizzes" to determine what else needs to be addressed. I have never seen anyone with Adrenal Fatigue and exhaustion that also didn't have other problems that were contributing to the problem. Remember it is not how many pills you take, but quite taxing your body with other things that are further depleting your adrenals.

Hope that gives you some directions and help.

DR. Len
