My son is 14 - basketball player - really good condition on the outside but he sleeps as soon as he gets home. He wakes up and does homework, chores, and then goes right back to sleep. Is this normal? I put him on Centrium(sp?) performance vitamins and hopefully that will fix it. We do eat out a lot. I work late a lot and usually have to pick something up on the way home.**************** Also what do you recommend for PCOS?

tlv, IT's not normal for teens to sleep that much, but without knowing what type of fuel/food he is putting in his body and how hard he is driving/exercising his body may explain everything, not to mention how many hours of sleep he is getting to revive and repair his body. It does sound like he is not getting enough good protein and TOO Much refined sugars/carbohdrates if you are eating out a lot, especially if it is coming from fast foods. What does he drink? Soft drinks, sports drinks, energy drinks, coffee??? they can all be working against him. Find him a better multi other than Centrium, not one of the better products on the market. You can try our NatraTech Multi, but I would gather more information about how to help him. Depending on how much physical, mental stress he is under, he might be a perfect candidate for ADrenal Fuel. As far as PCOS; there are some definite hormonal issues that needed to be looked at, There is not one magic pill that will address your problem, so don't be hoodwinked into believing others HYpe about what can be done or give for PCOS. I would take our Online Health Quzzes to see how well your body is functioning. If it isn't going well, I would definitely follow the Health Steps Protocol and get some Adrenal Fuel to help balance those hormones, and I always have to add lots of iodine to help this conditions. If you need some individualized help, you can contact my office and we can do a phone consult. Blessings to you and your son, Dr. Len
