If you have used acupuncture, homeopathy, or magnets for health and healing you have used energy medicine.  There are other types of energy medicine that are based on light waves, vibration, sound and electromagnetics.  How they work or even if they work are often questioned by western medicine for various reasons.

Energy medicine is much different than traditional, western medicine that is based largely on pharmacology.  A drug or medication is designed to manipulate various levels of fluids, antibodies, neurotransmitters, pathways, etc…with the hopes that it will alleviate or reduce your symptoms.

The bio-chemical level of healing, which includes the use of vitamins, herbs or supplements to correct those levels or pathways that western medicine manipulates with drugs works on a different level.  The differences and benefits from this approach are many, including the lack of potential sided effects from the drug.

The Energy Approach

Energy medicine operates on a different level.  Acupuncture for example, believes your body has energy (chi) running through various meridians on your body.  In general terms, they believe that at times the energy running through these various meridians get blocked or interfered with.  The energy is then stimulated or suppressed with needles, heat or vibration to help change or correct the flow of energy, thus relieving the various symptoms.  The fact that western medicine can’t explain or understand how this flow of energy works…doesn’t mean it’s not there or doesn’t work.

The same is true about homoeopathic medicine and the use of diluted water with trace amounts of various substances to bring about healing.  Many of the homeopathic remedies used are diluted to such a small fraction of there original content that western medicine can’t understand how something that diluted can be helpful.  The assumption that homeopathy is invalid or doesn’t work simply because it is mostly water doesn’t disprove it.  Homeopathy has been successfully tested time and time again with positive results and is utilized much more in other parts of the world.

Homeopathic medicine like acupuncture has been around for centuries so the thought that energy medicine is new is absurd.  The concept of energy medicine and healing should not be hard to understand.  Consider the fact that the body radiates electrical energy and sends information through the nervous system through electrical impulses. It may not be a powerful signal, but energy is being moved!  Also consider that the earth has an electro magnetic pull that surrounds us 24/7, this is why compasses work.  The electromagnetic strength is not very strong – but it is there.

The fact that the human body and the earth itself emits electrical energy should make it easy to understand that the flow of energy around us can be interfered with and a contributing factor to our health.  Think about all the energy we surround ourselves with each day that wasn’t here 25, 50 or 100 years ago.  Today we are bombarded with signals and frequencies from our cell phones, computers, wifi, ipod, microwaves, televisions, antenna, etc.  Is it possible that all those electrical signals, frequencies and impulses are interfering with the electrical impulses and signals your body is using to communicate with itself?

The strength of the signal from within your body is very small compared to many of the above mentioned appliances and technologies. You are not going to short out your hair dryer or cell phone, but those frequencies could disrupt and interfere with your body's ability to communicate.  Think about what happens when you hear a public speaker, carrying a microphone who happens to walk to close to the speaker…does that screeching sound tell you those signals are being interfered with?

I can’t explain how my microwave or cell phone work, I just know they do what I need them to do.  I can say the same thing about these 3-dimensional holographic chips that I have recently learned about for pain, energy and sleep.  How they work…like acupuncture and homeopathy…I can’t explain it exactly, but I do understand the principles of balancing out the flow of energy.  The fact that these holographic chips can improve the flow of energy, without the use of needles – I’m all for that.  The same way I am about swallowing some fish oil or fiber instead of eating fish everyday and my seven servings of fruits and veggies.

It’s so much easier to place a 3-dimensional holographic chips on my body to improve my energy or alleviate the pain, or use the sleep chip at night to get a good night sleep.  FYI…that’s what made a believer out of me.  I used the Sleep chip and had the first good night sleep in a long while. I’ll share how the pain chip got rid of my back pain another time…but that is what made me a true believer in these little 3-dimensional holographic chips.

I’ll share more about these amazing holographic chips…that my kids call stickers, in the weeks to come.  But I’m impressed with them and glad to have another tool I can use to help those struggling with fatigue, sleep or pain.
